....:Day 01 of the 30 Day Drawing Challenge:....

....:I have decided to start the 30 Day Drawing Challenge. One of my friends found it and I think it is a good challenge. Here is day one: Yourself. I recently acquired glasses (again) I'm still getting used to them...

....:Also, my instructor wanted me to make my Time Travel project into an actual clock. I was going to do it anyway because I love the design. He loves the idea; so I made it today. This is a temporary fixing of the hands. I'm going to let the instructor decide on them. However, I love the white. Better picture after tomorrow.

....:Experimental Final Stills:....

Experimental was a great class, lots of fun and a big challenge. For the first four weeks of the quarter we had to complete an assignment due the following week. Our instructor filled the shoes of our client and didn't decide on the topic of the project until the end of the class. These are the topics he chose and my final interpretations of them.

....:Sketch of the Day:....

....:This cute little character has a funny little story. I was enjoying a grape slushie one day and I thought, "Hey, just like an angel earns its wings, what if a cup earns its straw?" I know, how do you put those two together? Well I did! Also, every time I get a cup I like to put a face on it. It also helps that my first job was a Carhop at Sonic. Thus, my cute cup character was born. The storyboard to the right was just me having fun with him.

....:I will most likely create him and some friends and either do 100% 3d animation or composite him on the trays they use. Who knows!

....:ZBrush Project:....

....:For my ZBrush class we have to do a character. He is going to have a lot more detail in the final ZBrush render. More frog like.

....:The concept drawing was done in Photoshop CS4. I had to turn in a concept drawing in to the instructor. I had a bunch of fun with my frog-guy. Adding the gold chain was my instructor's idea. My frog-guy is supposed to think that he is hot stuff and he really isn't. Hence the gut (which needs to be more pronounced) and the some what cocky look on his face.

....:Progress to come!

....:Sketch of the Day:...

....:This is a sun dial looking from the top. On the shadowed side it could be the past/present and on the sun lit side it's the other. I haven't decided which to put where.

....:One if my assignments in my classes was "Time Travel Surrealism". I great topic, considering time travel is very surreal. And you can play with the subject and go wild with it. I know because I've had so many ideas about this topic. I showed my instructor this sketch and he loved the idea. His one suggestion was to do two iconic things; something everyone will recognize. One from the past and one from the future. He said, "Maybe Egypt and the Sphinx and the Statue of Liberty." Great suggestion! My head was spinning with ideas. Final project to come!
